17-19 February, weekend 2

This weekend Raven Row turns to A Survey of the Avant-Garde in Britain, a trilogy of exhibitions curated at Gallery House by Rosetta Brooks from 18 August to 14 October 1972. We host a film programme based on Survey Part 3. We also highlight Gallery House’s involvement with the expatriate artists David Medalla, John Dugger, Jun Terra and Darcy Lange, who were all part of the Survey. And finally, works by Robert Filliou and George Brecht make an appearance, as they did in June 1972 at Gallery House.

Events:

John Dugger, Ergonic Workshops. John Dugger will lead a demonstration and discussion of his ‘Body Conductors’ (1969) and ‘Perennials’ (1970) as well as David Medalla’s ‘A Stitch in Time’ (1968-1972/2017) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.
