The final sculpture focused on the archive’s potential to unearth specificities, and questioned what is fact or fiction. Archive matters can trigger memories and also reconfigure meanings to destabilise the production of history by creating new readings. Derrida writes in Archive Fever that the question of the politics of the archive will never be determined as one political question amongst others; it runs through the whole of the field and determines politics from top to bottom. He remarks that there is no political power without control of the archive.
A short panel introduction with Antony Hudek, Victoria Lane, Jo Melvin, Gustavo Grandal Montero and Neal White lead into five group discussions taking place throughout the exhibition.
